Princeton Energy Resources International, LLC (PERI) is an energy and environmental consulting firm providing engineering, technical, economic, policy, and regulatory services to various government agencies, bilateral and multilateral financial institutions, and private sector clients worldwide. In addition to traditional project services such as feasibility studies, planning, policy design, environmental review and assessments, engineering design, construction management/ inspection services, PERI provides technical assistance to governments, their agencies, and private sector organizations to strengthen institutional capabilities through organizational development, sector reform, technology transfer, and training. Headquartered in Rockville, Maryland, just outside of Washington, DC, PERI is within easy reach of U.S. Federal Government Agencies and national, bilateral and multilateral financial institutions such as the Export-Import Bank of United States, Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), the World Bank, International Finance Corporation (IFC), and the Inter-American Development Bank.
PERI's staff have a thorough understanding of power generation technologies - whether they are more efficient and cleaner advanced fossil technologies; conventional gas, oil or coal-fired technologies; or renewable technologies. PERI staff also excel in solid fuel conversion technologies such as gasification and syngas-to-liquid fuels; energy and electric power supply, demand, and resource analysis; and electric power and natural gas transmission and distribution issues. PERI staff have first hand experience in the technology and economics of the full range of renewable energy systems including: wind, biomass, geothermal, solar photovoltaic, and solar thermal. Furthermore, PERI provides expert services in integrated environmental management system (EMS) and pollution prevention (P2) programs to help meet compliance in cost effective and innovative ways. Our EMS/P2 services are based heavily on engineering approaches that help improve the cost-effectiveness of operations. In addition, PERI offers expert witness services on environmental litigation issues. PERI personnel have worked on large toxic torts and Superfund litigations and have unique capabilities in environmental forensics.

Our staff have extensive experience in technology and project development, due diligence and feasibility evaluations, environmental assessment, construction management, systems operation, and sector restructuring. We have acted as Owner's Engineer and Bank's Engineer representing private and government-owned utilities and major financial institutions. Our staff have a thorough knowledge of energy and water sector economics, project finance, and infrastructure reform. PERI also has extensive experience in providing our clients with conference management and outreach support. PERI personnel, on average, have over 25 years of experience providing technical, engineering, programmatic, and management support to our clients.
